News

With each day, we get closer and closer to our goal! Thank you!!!! Great news has arrived from Haiti saying that they have continued to pull people out of the debris, including a young girl who lived without food (she may have had some access to water from a buried faucet) for 15 days. Many food stations have begun to focus on giving food ratio coupons to mainly women, elderly and the sick because they are the primary caregivers and of their need. A many ill children are being flown over to hospitals in the USA.

Thanks Again,
Camila and Family

My 4 Yr. Old Sister's Donation to Haiti

My sister is celebrating her 4th birthday next week and has decided to forego presents and asked her classmates to have their parents donate to the Clinton-Bush Foundation. Go Issy!!! - Cami

Note From a Supporter - Social Awareness that Impels to Action

"Hi Cami,

I am a friend of your Mom's. You are doing a very wonderful thing by spending your time, energy and allowance to help others who are going through such a terrible situation and are so in need. It is really compassionate as well as responsible of you to do this. My son is in kindergarten at Princeton Academy and I know one of the Sacred Heart goals is "a social awareness which impels to action" - I think that you are doing a great job demonstrating this goal, as well as several of the other SH goals. I hope that you reach your donations goal. We have contributed $250 to the Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund.

Take care,

Elizabeth S."

Cami's Note: Many thanks Elizabeth. Haitians will be grateful

What We Do Right Now Determines How Many Lives We Can Save in Haiti! (1-17-10)

WHY:
We realized that our daily concerns and struggles are light years away from the despair and hopelessness that millions of Haitians feel right now. Having read some of the recent Haiti stories in the news, we decided that could do more than just pray for them.
WHAT:
"Tellez-Project Haiti" is nothing else than a campaign to motivate our colleagues, friends, and family to donate so that we can all provide a glimmer of hope to Haitians.
HOW:
We've studied the different vehicles to donate and suggest the Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund for several reasons:
  • They have ample expertise dealing with crises (i.e.: Katrina)
  • It has the right size to make things happen bypassing red tape
  • We believe it can offer a vision/framework on how to rebuild Haiti not just a vehicle for staple supplies and medicines.
MATCHING:
As a family including our daughters' allowance income we will be doing 1:1 matching with the first $600 that our friends/colleagues donate.
ANYTHING COUNTS (TAX DEDUCTIBLE):
We want our friends and family to contribute as much as they can. No matter how small your contribution, it will add up to reach our campaign goal. Remember that your contribution is tax deductible and do ask yourself, "Can I give more?"
Our objective is to motivate friends and family to donate a total of $10K by February 28, 2010 and will not stop pestering you until we do so :-).
SPECIFIC REQUEST*:
There are two ways YOU can do this *:
1. Donate directly to the Clinton-Bush Foundation. Press HERE
2. Write a check (payable to:The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund and mail to them at:
  The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund
  c/o William J. Clinton Foundation
  Donations Department
  610 President Clinton Avenue
  Little Rock, AR 72201

3. We realize that you may have a foundation that you work with. Please let us know if you decide to donate to a different organization.

* In any case please do let let us know (tellez.cami@gmail.com) the type of contribution you made and whether you would like to appear with your name on the donation or would rather remain anonymous. If possible we will be publishing a list of donors.

From the Tellez Children

Camila-
I stongly believe that Haiti needs our funds now more that ever. . . . Children are being left on the street in desperate need for food and water . . . . And we living in the US, have the resources to help them. Every minute, Haitians are trapped under falling debris, trying to escape from this terror. The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund is not only striving to give Haiti immediate help, but also funds to rebuild their neighborhoods and homes once they are able to.

Isabel-
"Can I invite the children from Haiti to my birthday?"
"No, but you can donate money to the children instead of gifts for your birthday."
Isabel has now decided to donate money in lieu of gifts to the Clinton Bush Foundation. My father tweeted Clinton saying this, and his staff tweeted back saying "Please thank your daughter and may she be an example of how we should all act in these times."

Consider these facts,
Camila
